Romina Placeway Fagan and her husband, Thomas Fagan had one known child, a daughter, Alice E. Fagan. Romina died 18 February 1927 at Avon Park, Highland County, Florida. An obituary appeared in the "Pinckney Dispatch" Feb 23, 1927 issue and read: Mrs. Romina Placeway died at Avon Park, Florida, Feb 18. She was the daughter of the late William Placeway, a pioneer settler of this section who owned the farm on M-49, now the property of Arthur Shehan. She was the last surviving member of the family, her brothers William, Joseph, Samuel and her twin sister, Mrs. Rosina Mercer all having passed to the great beyond. She was born Jan 25, 1840 (sic 1847) having just passed her 81st birthday. Funeral and burial were held at Avon Park, Florida. The survivors are, one daughter, Alice Fagan of Kalamazoo and several nieces and nephews.
