Permilia Placeway married first to Calvin Weller 19 March 1859 in Livingston County Michigan. This marriage ended in divorce and she remarried to Alfred A. Bennett, a professor at the University of Iowa, at Ames, Iowa. Permilia died 10 April 1912 at Ames, Iowa. Her obituary found in the "Pinckney Dispatch" April 18, 1912 issue read: Mrs. A. A. Bennett of Ames, Iowa who was formerly Cornelia (sic Permelia) Placeway of this vicinity died at her home, Wednesday, April 10, 1912. Albert A. Bennett , her husband remarried to Lola Ann Placeway 19 June 1913 at Hartland, Livingston County. Lola being a niece of Permelia, the daughter of William Henry Placeway. On the marriage application, Lola was given as a professor at Ames, Iowa and Alfred as a professor from California. Sources; 01.)
